Wyoming Industrial Development Corporation (WIDC) was created by legislation in 1967 to partner with local lending institutions, using federal and state loan programs, to assist Wyoming's small businesses.
The mission of WIDC is to assist Wyoming small business in structuring financial packages utilizing a variety of sources and programs; to disseminate information regarding alternative sources of financing to banks, businesses and citizens; to act as a pooling and servicing agent for the State of Wyoming
WIDC's direct and SBA 7(a) loan program provides line of credit, working capital, and equipment financing to Wyoming's small businesses
In 1983, at the request of the SBA, WIDC created an independent entity, Frontier Certified Development Company (Frontier CDC), the sole source for SBA 504 loans in the State. Frontier CDC Board members are representative of government, business, economic development, community and private sector lending institutions statewide.
The Frontier CDC mission, through the SBA 504 loan program, is to strengthen the economy of the State by providing small businesses affordable long term financing which will enable them to retain and create jobs within Wyoming.
Frontier CDC's SBA 504 loan program provides financing for land and buildings to new and expanding Wyoming businesses.
